More and more Kiwis grab the opportunity to make extra money by hosting their homes on Airbnb.

• Though it’s just launched last week, Airbnb has gained more than 20,000 property listings in NZ & over 2000 in Queenstown.

• NZ property owners see the opportunity to list their homes on Airbnb can make a real difference to them as hosts earn an avg. of $2,900/year.

• The avg. annual profit is almost 3x higher for Queenstown property owners, who earned about $8600 by hosting guests 43 nights a year.

• Airbnb New Zealand manager says Airbnb is contributing positively to the local community & economy, with listings making up a “small section” of the housing market.
