This new high rise complex would amplify the surge in apartment sales in Wellington this year.

• A 19-storey, $65 million high rise apartment building will replace the earthquake prone Sharp building in Wellington, which is set to begin construction in May.

•  The “tall and narrow” apartment building, which has 6 retail spaces on the ground floor & 114 1-bedroom units with studios, would add another laneway to Dixon St through to Feltex Lane.

• Real estate firms have seen a surge in apartment sales in Wellington this year – nearly half of the sales in January were apartments.

• The revived interest in apartment living is due to the realisation that for many buyers, apartments offer a more affordable housing situation while at the same time reducing associated travel & parking costs.
