Figures show that Auckland prices haven’t moved much but 9 other regions have reached their highest prices yet over January.

• Real-time market stats from realestate.co.nz show that asking prices in 19 regions are still on an upward rise – 9 of them hit all-time high.
• Central Otago/Lakes tops the list, up 17.6% ($888,567), followed by Central North Island at 12% ($413,392), Hawkes Bay at 10.8% ($413,405) & Bay of Plenty at 9.8%($592,479).
• Other upward movers include Wellington (up 5.6%), Taranaki (4.8%), Manawatu/Wanganui (4.7%), Otago (4.6 & Coromandel (up 2.3%).
• In terms of inventory around NZ, Auckland sits at 16 weeks; Taranaki at 17 weeks; Manawatu/Wanganui at 13 weeks; Otago at 11 weeks & Coromandel at 35 weeks.
